Coops & Nieborg B.V. designed and produced a fully automatic grab discharger for the dredger M.V. "Arco Dee".
This grab discharger has an unloading capacity of 500 m³ per hour.
The grab discharger consists of a travelling carriage, a travelling hopper/feeder,
a special wide-body 4-rope grab, a winch machinery, an e-house, and an operator's cabin.
The grab discharger is fully electrical and controlled by a PLC.
The system can set in fully automatic, semi-automatic or hand operated.
The electrical installation, the seals and bearings, the moveable parts
and the paint system are designed for a seagoing vessel. The reliable technology
in combination with worldwide service makes this grab discharger suitable for
international dredging companies. The discharger was built in order of Hanson
Aggregates Marine (UK).
